Letter To Parents 17 December 2020
Dear Parents / Carers
We Made It – Phew!
I am absolutely delighted to be able to report that we made it! We have got through a very difficult Autumn term with NO children and NO staff testing positive for Covid-19 in the Nursery. Without a shadow of a doubt the measures that we have in place have played a huge part and will continue following the Christmas break. Heart-felt thanks from the whole nursery team to our families for working so positively with us on this.
Christmas Relaxation Of Rules
We all have a part to play in continuing to control the virus. With the school holidays and festive season approaching it is tempting to not stick to the rules. However, with the high rates of infection it is now more important than ever that we continue to:
- Social distance from anyone we don’t live with
- Wash our hands regularly
- Wear a face covering
- Self‐isolate if we have symptoms, test positive or are contacted by Test and Trace and asked to isolate
Mixing with other people increases the risk of spreading the virus. Whilst for most young people they only experience mild symptoms of the virus they can pass it on to others who may have underlying conditions or be elderly and so much more likely to be very ill from the virus. This is why it is vitally important that young people limit their social contact with others.
Positive Tests Over Christmas
If you or any of your family test positive between now and 4 January please email the details in to email@example.com. I will be monitoring the email over the holiday and will be communicating with the necessary contacts / authorities as necessary.
Christmas Jumper And Festive Lunch
Just a gentle reminder that tomorrow is Christmas Jumper Day where the children are invited to wear their favourite Christmas or Winter themed jumpers.
We will also be serving Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings with a halal and a vegetarian option. Yum Yum!
The work to replace the Nursery roof has now been completed. The contractors are in the process of removing the scaffolding which means that post-Christmas, the old Hedgehogs playground and equipment will be back in action.
Onwards And Upwards
Please note that when we return in January we will continue with the regime that we have in place for drop off and collection. The end of day release has been working really well so we will continue to release the children via the main Nursery door. Please remember to queue on the white lines as this ensures privacy for feedback as well as safety.
We will continue to ask that you do not send your child in to the Nursery if they are unwell in any way.
Face masks must be worn by adults entering the front gate of the school site. Please ensure that the mask covers your nose. With the 5 day relaxation planned for over Christmas I believe that January could see a surge in infections and we must all work together to remain safe.
This term, parents/carers have all been fantastic and I have no doubt that you will continue to embrace our processes and procedures which should keep everyone safe and the Nursery open.
We have now uploaded your child’s autumn term report on to Tapestry. Hopefully you will have activated your child’s account by now. However, if you haven’t or are having difficulties, then please speak to Nicola or Jo in the Atrium.
If your child has joined the Nursery within the last 6 weeks they will not have a report on Tapestry. A separate letter and form will be sent via ParentMail tomorrow.
End Of Term
As reported in my previous letter, The Premier Academy will be closing at 2.00pm for a deep clean. We have decided that the Nursery will remain open for the afternoon session, as normal. However should you wish to collect your child/ren early then please feel free to do so. We will open our gates at 2.00pm in line with the Academy so if you are also collecting a Nursery child, please ensure that you collect them BEFORE you collect your school child/ren.
What A Team!
I am sure that you will all join me in saying a huge ‘thank you’ to the Nursery team. Our staff have been working exceptionally hard during a very difficult time. They have worked tirelessly to ensure that the children have a safe and secure environment and above all a fun time. With all this in place the learning comes naturally and it has been wonderful to see the children grow and develop over the past 3 months.
So ‘well done team’ – your dedication and efforts are very much appreciated.
Finally I would like to wish you all a very happy, safe and socially distanced Christmas with everything crossed for a better year in 2021!
With our very best wishes from all the staff at Eaton Mill Nursery.

Dear Parents / Carers
Tis The Season To Be Jolly
I am sure that you will no doubt have noticed that we have well and truly entered into the
Christmas spirit. The fab staff stayed behind late last on Friday to make sure that the children had
a nice surprise on Monday morning when they entered the site.
The excitement and surprise from the children as they came in on Monday morning was a real
Half Way There!
Well we are half way there. The first two weeks of Learning Block Four have gone really well. With
two more to go, our goal of the Nursery remaining COVID free is looking within our sights.
COVID In MK
However, as you will no doubt be aware we are now in the eye of the storm with more and more
deaths and admissions to hospital happening on an almost daily basis. The number of people
testing positive for COVID-19 locally fluctuates daily and remains high. Please remain vigilant and

We will also be serving Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings and as always there will be a halal

The Last Day Of Learning Block 4
On the last day of term, Friday 18 December, The Premier Academy will be closing at 2.00pm for
a deep clean. We have decided that the Nursery will remain open for the afternoon session, as
normal. However should you wish to collect your child/ren early then please feel free to do so. We
will open our gates at 2.00pm in line with the Academy so if you are also collecting a Nursery
child, please ensure that you collect them BEFORE you collect your school child/ren.
The Deep Clean
Please be assured that the Nursery will also be deep cleaned on the last day; this is scheduled to
be carried out once all the children and staff have gone home.
I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to you all. You have embraced our routines and
requirements from keeping your children off if they are unwell, to ensuring that face masks or
visors are worn at all times when on site. It is very much appreciated.
We have an amazing Eaton Mill Nursery family and your continued support and cooperation has
not gone unnoticed. Thank you, thank you and thank you once again!
Finally, I hope that you have a great weekend and stay safe!

Letter to Parents 6 November 2020
Dear Parents / Carers
As we have now entered our second lockdown of the year I am delighted that we are able to
remain open for our children and families.
We have been very fortunate to get to this point without any incidences of confirmed COVID-19
cases, however we cannot rest on our laurels. We do not want to be a nursery that has to shut for
any reason so we are looking at our procedures and in line with Government advice we will be
making some minor changes.
Dropping Your Child Off At The Nursery
The children have taken to being dropped off at the door exceptionally well and we are confident
that we can now extend the procedure to ensure that all adults are consistently dropping their child
off in this way; if your child is having an anxious morning, please be reassured that they will settle
very quickly with our support. If you need to complete a medication form, then please let a
member of staff know and they will assist you. Also if you need to pass on any information, then
again please let a member of staff know and someone will come to you to help.
In order to ensure everyone’s safety please stand on the white line markings when queuing to
collect your children. I observed a too relaxed approach yesterday and we are in a national
lockdown with Milton Keynes now having 100 infections per 100k people, so please be as vigilant
as possible. Thank you.
In order to speed up collection and limit the time that adults are in the one-way collection zone at
the end of the day, we are giving our daily feedback before you enter the internal one-way system
to collect your child. There will be a member of staff on hand to speak to you outside whilst you
are waiting to collect. Therefore, everyone must observe the white lines to ensure privacy as well
In the current climate we are unable to hold Parent Consultation Meetings. As soon as we are in a
position to be able to do these safely I will let you know. However in the meantime please do not
hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions or queries
regarding your child’s learning and development.
It is really important that you let us know if your child will not be attending their session for any
reason. Please call 01908 373621 press option 2 or alternatively you can email

to primary school in September 2021. Places are not issued automatically and an application

The application portal is live and it is imperative that you apply for your child’s place in good time
and before the strict deadline of Friday 15 January 2021. We had some families last year who
missed the deadline and were not allocated a place at TPA.
Please note that children who attend Eaton Mill Nursery are given priority for Reception places at
TPA but ONLY if you complete the online application before Friday 15 January 2021. The school
currently has a waiting list of 24 children for our current Reception so please complete your
