Letter to Parents 30 September 2021
Dear Parents / Carers
End of Learning Block 2
I cannot believe how quickly this learning block has flown by! We have had lots of new children join us and we would like to welcome all children and parents who are joining us for the first time.
Covid Cases In Milton Keynes
96 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on 29 September 2021. Between 23 September 2021 and 29 September 2021, 833 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 15.4% compared to the previous 7 days. Between 13 September 2021 and 19 September 2021, 36 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 33.3% compared to the previous 7 days. I am pleased to confirm that we have had no positive cases reported from children or staff in the Nursery. Hopefully if we continue to err on the side of caution this will remain the case.
Considering the information above I would like to take this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to you all for working so brilliantly with us. From adhering to the drop off and collection routines to keeping your children at home if they are unwell, you truly have helped to keep the Nursery open and our staff safe.
Primary School Applications
If your child was born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018 they will be due to transfer to primary school in September 2022. Places are not issued automatically and an application must be submitted online to Milton Keynes Council, www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/schooladmissions
The application portal is now live and it is imperative that you apply for your child in good time and before the strict deadline of Saturday 15 January 2022. We had some families last year who missed the deadline and were not allocated a place at TPA. The school currently has a waiting list of 15 children just for Reception so please complete your application ASAP. If you need any assistance with the process then please speak to one of the ladies in the Atrium.
We are currently taking bookings at the Nursery for children who are eligible to join us. If you have a child or know of someone who does, aged two or over, and would like them to join our Nursery, or your child already attends and you wish to increase their sessions, please speak to Nicola in the Atrium for more details. Please note that spaces get booked up very quickly and will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
Last Day of Learning Block 2
Finally, we would like to remind you that tomorrow, Friday 1 October is the last day of Learning Block 2. We close for one week and re-open on Monday 11 October.
Nursery holiday dates for 2021-2022 and 2022 – 2023 can be collected from the Atrium or viewed online at www.eatonmillnursery.co.uk.
