Letter to Parents 16 April 2021
Dear Parents / Carers
Learning Block 6
The first two weeks of Learning Block 6 have gone really well. The children have settled back in to the Nursery routines and are engaging in lots of fun activities. We have also had some new starters and I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all children and parents joining us for the first time.
So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Adios, Au Revoir
I am sorry to have to inform you that Victoria Cattini will be leaving Eaton Mill Nursery next Friday, 23 April.
Victoria has been a hardworking and dedicated member of the Nursery team since September 2015. Victoria has always had the happiness and wellbeing of the children at the heart of everything she does and so much of what is great about the nursery is a reflection of her dedication.
I am sure that you will all join me in thanking Victoria for her service and in wishing her all the very best with her future endeavours. Don’t be a stranger Victoria!
National Offer Day – Primary School
Today is National Offer Day. Parents of children who are due to start Reception in September are informed of the Primary school that their child has been allocated. For most that will be The Premier Academy (TPA) and our work with TPA will now begin in order to ensure a smooth transition for those children. More details of our transition arrangements to TPA will follow.
For those children who will be attending a Primary school other than TPA, please don’t worry, we will also be working closely with those schools to ensure a smooth transition.
If you have not received your child’s allocation and you submitted your application by the deadline of Friday 15 January, then please contact the admissions department at Milton Keynes Council on 01908 253338.
As we spend a lot of time in the outside area, please ensure that your child comes to nursery dressed in appropriate clothing for the weather and that a coat is brought in daily. All coats and clothing must be clearly labelled with your child’s name. This will ensure that we can easily reunite any items with their rightful owners.
Please ensure that your child comes in to the Nursery with at least one complete change of clothes in a backpack or bag. Ideally these will come in on a Monday and go home on a Friday, providing they haven’t been used. However, I do understand that some children are attached to their back packs in which case they may be brought in daily.
We are currently taking bookings at the Nursery for children who are eligible to join us. If you or someone you know has a child aged two or over and you would like them to join our Nursery, or your child already attends and you wish to increase their sessions, please speak to Nicola in the Atrium for more details. Please note that spaces are getting booked up very quickly and will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
Last Day Of Learning Block 6
The last day of Learning Block 6 is Friday 21 May. We close for two weeks and re-open on Monday 7 June.
Nursery holiday dates for 2020-2021 and 2021 – 2022 can be collected from the Atrium or viewed online at www.eatonmillnursery.co.uk
Take care and stay safe.
