Letter to Parents 4 December 2020

Dear Parents / Carers
Tis The Season To Be Jolly
I am sure that you will no doubt have noticed that we have well and truly entered into the
Christmas spirit. The fab staff stayed behind late last on Friday to make sure that the children had
a nice surprise on Monday morning when they entered the site.
The excitement and surprise from the children as they came in on Monday morning was a real
treat.
Half Way There!
Well we are half way there. The first two weeks of Learning Block Four have gone really well. With
two more to go, our goal of the Nursery remaining COVID free is looking within our sights.
COVID In MK
However, as you will no doubt be aware we are now in the eye of the storm with more and more
deaths and admissions to hospital happening on an almost daily basis. The number of people
testing positive for COVID-19 locally fluctuates daily and remains high. Please remain vigilant and
stay safe!
Christmas Festivities – Friday 18 December
Festive activities are well underway in the Nursery and it is with this in mind that I want to give you
some advance notice that Friday 18 December will be our Christmas Jumper Day. The children
are invited to wear their favourite Christmas or Winter themed jumpers.
We will also be serving Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings and as always there will be a halal
and a vegetarian option.
Theme Of The Week
Please find detailed below our ‘Theme of the Week’ for Learning Block Five. We thought it would
be beneficial to share this schedule so that you can join in with the themes with any ideas that you
may have for activities at home. Have fun because we will be!
Week Beg | Topic |
4 January 2021 | Winter |
11 January 2021 | Healthy Eating |
18 January 2021 | The Blue Balloon |
25 January 2021 | Bird Watching Week |
The Last Day Of Learning Block 4
On the last day of term, Friday 18 December, The Premier Academy will be closing at 2.00pm for
a deep clean. We have decided that the Nursery will remain open for the afternoon session, as
normal. However should you wish to collect your child/ren early then please feel free to do so. We
will open our gates at 2.00pm in line with the Academy so if you are also collecting a Nursery
child, please ensure that you collect them BEFORE you collect your school child/ren.
The Deep Clean
Please be assured that the Nursery will also be deep cleaned on the last day; this is scheduled to
be carried out once all the children and staff have gone home.
Thank You
I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to you all. You have embraced our routines and
requirements from keeping your children off if they are unwell, to ensuring that face masks or
visors are worn at all times when on site. It is very much appreciated.
We have an amazing Eaton Mill Nursery family and your continued support and cooperation has
not gone unnoticed. Thank you, thank you and thank you once again!
Finally, I hope that you have a great weekend and stay safe!
Yours sincerely
Michelle Severn
