Letter to Parents 23 October 2020
Dear Parents / Carers
Learning Block Three
The first two weeks of Learning Block three have gone really well. The children have settled back in to the
Nursery routines and are engaging in lots of fun activities. We have had some new starters over the last
two weeks and I would like to extend a warm welcome to all children and parents joining us for the first
We are spending lots of time outdoors so to enable the children to enjoy the outside area please ensure
that an appropriate coat for the weather is brought in to the Nursery daily. All coats and clothing must be
clearly labelled with your child’s name. This will ensure that we can easily reunite any items with their
Please ensure that your child comes in to the Nursery with at least one complete change of clothes in a
backpack or bag. Ideally these will come in on a Monday and go home on a Friday, providing they haven’t
been used of course, however I do understand that some children are attached to their back packs in which
case they must be brought in daily.
Toys From Home
Some children have been bringing toys from home in to the Nursery. Due to health and safety we cannot
allow toys that are not purchased by the Nursery in the setting. More importantly the children become upset
when we have to take them off of them or when other children want to play with them. Thank you for your
cooperation with this matter.

Primary School Applications
If your child was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 they will be due to transfer to
primary school in September 2021. Places are not issued automatically and an application must be
submitted online to Milton Keynes Council, www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/schooladmissions
The application portal is live and it is imperative that you apply for your child in good time and before the
strict deadline of Friday 15 January 2021. We had some families last year who missed the deadline and
were not allocated a place at TPA. Please note that children who attend Eaton Mill Nursery are given
priority for Reception places at TPA but ONLY if you complete the online application before Friday 15
January 2021. The school currently has a waiting list of 24 children just for Reception so please complete
your application ASAP. If you need any assistance with the process then please speak to one of the ladies
in the Atrium.
Finally I would like to thank you all for your continued support and cooperation. Have a great weekend.
