Letter To Parents: 2 September 2019
Welcome back to Eaton Mill Nursery, with a particular welcome to all children and parents joining us for the first time. Both new and existing children have settled in very comfortably and are already engaging in the fun activities.
Primary School Applications
If your child was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 they will be due to transfer to primary school in September 2020. Places are not issued automatically and an application must be submitted online to Milton Keynes Council at www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/schooladmissions
The application portal has gone live TODAY. It is imperative that you apply for your child in good time and before the strict deadline. We had some families last year who missed the deadline and were not allocated a place at TPA. The school currently has a waiting list of 24 children just for Reception so please get it done ASAP.

Theme of the Week
Please find attached our ‘Theme of the Week’ for Hedgehogs and Squirrels for the academic year. We thought it would be beneficial to share this schedule as there could be parents who may have some hidden talents which would tie into a particular theme. Alternatively, if you have any ideas or suggestions then please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.
Should you wish to collect your child early, i.e. before the dismissal time of 3.20pm then please note that you MUST collect them by 2.50pm.
Closure Day – Monday 9 September 2019
We would like to remind you that the Nursery will be closed on Monday 9 September 2019. I hope that you and your family enjoy the long weekend and we look forward to seeing your child on Tuesday 10 September.
Parent Contact Week
Parent Contact Week is an ideal opportunity for you to come into the Nursery and meet with your child’s key person, to discuss your child’s progress and the targets that they are working towards. We will be holding parent consultations over a two week period for the Squirrels. This will hopefully enable us to accommodate as many parent time slot preferences as possible. Please see detailed below the planned Parent Contact Weeks for the academic year.
